One of the important, simplest, and most effective things in staying safe online is keeping passwords secure. It is important to keep your personal and financial information safe online.
You should use a different and strong password for each account, especially for accounts having sensitive or private data. When going online using your TTfone TT20 Dual SIM: Smart 3G Mobile Phone, it is important to know how to set a strong password. Here is how to set a secure and strong password and stay safe online.
Avoid weak passwords
Weak passwords are easy for hackers to crack. They often attempt to use the date of birth and name of people or other commonly used passwords like common figures, words, or keyboard patterns. Here are some weak passwords that are very easy to guess for hackers:
- 123456
- password
- 111111
- 123456789

Choose a strong password
A strong password is hard for hackers to crack. If the password is long, it would be less likely for anyone to guess it. Whenever you create an account on a website and choose a password, the website may tell you how strong your password is. It will tell what you should include like letters, symbols, or numbers, to make your password stronger.
- In general, a password should be 8 characters long (at least).
- Don’t include any personal information like pet or family member’s name, date of birth or house number, etc.
- Don’t make password too difficult that is hard to remember for you.
- Add a combo of lowercase and uppercase letters.
- Add some keyboard symbols and numbers like “!” or “&” or “£”.
Choose different passwords
Don’t use the same password for different accounts or websites. It can be difficult to memorize different passwords but if you set the same passwords for different accounts and a hacker gets access to your one account online, they can access all of your accounts.
Don’t recycle passwords like password1, password2, as they are easy to crack if the hacker gets access to one of your passwords. If passwords with symbols and figures are difficult to remember, create a combination of three random to generate a stronger password as long as those words don’t have any personal data. Also, try to change the password on regular basis to lower the risk of getting hacked.
Keep passwords safe
Do not write down your passwords as it can be a security hazard particularly if leave them close to your computer or TTfone TT240: Easy to Use WhatsApp Mobile Phone. But it is easy for anyone to forget passwords. If you require a written reminder, try to write only some hints that only you will understand instead of a complete password. Also, keep this written reminder somewhere safe, away from the computer. Try to note them in an unmarked notebook so that it is not easy for other people to figure out.
Use password managers
A password manager is a software or a tool that keeps all your passwords for different accounts and fills them automatically for you when you need them. Some internet browsers have in-built password managers. There are also other password manager tools available. You can also use password managers on your TTfone Titan TT950: 3G Touchscreen, Big Button Mobile Phone.
- When you enter a password on a website for the first time, the password manager will ask if you want to save the password.
- If you save the password, it will automatically fill in the password the next time you visit that website.
- The password manager will operate only on your personal computer.
- It is advised not to use a password manager on a public computer so that hackers or strangers can’t access the account.
